Our first project was to build a tower out of newspapers and tape!I began by building the base of my tower. I rolled up newspapers then taped them all together...kind of like a firecracker. I tested the base out and it worked!! Now I just had to gain some height...
So now I began to build the top half. After I finished the top portion of my tower I wanted to test it out to see if it could support the weight of the cinder block before taping it to the base, and I succeeded!
Now for the finished tower, both the base and the top were taped together.
The last step was to test the strength of my tower with a cinder block...Failed... the tower couldn't support the weight of the block, because the tower kept collapsing from where the top and the base were connected.
